Neither Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo nor Spanish international Isco, who is known as 'magic' by his team-mates, top Danilo's list, with both being beaten out by defender Marcelo.
In an interview with Spanish publication 'AS', Danilo revealed that he always highlights three players that he has played with that never failed to impress him in training, with Ronaldo once again failing to warrant a mention.
"I have seen three footballers do things from another planet: Neymar, Isco and Marcelo," he explained.
But despite the priase for the former Malaga man and the PSG star, there is only one winner for the Manchester City man: "Those three are incredible, but Marcelo, when it comes to skill and technical ability, is the best of the lot. He is incredible."
Danilo was also full of praise for a certain Mr Ronaldo, the current Ballon d'Or holder, though he insisted that he should not be compared to the aforementioned players. "He always wants to score goals and he is the best, but he's different. Marcelo likes to have the ball at his feet. Isco too, they're very similar... they both play improvised, street football," he explained.
Finally, the 26-year-old discussed his aims for the current season, saying: "The goal is to play games and to play at the World Cup. I have to try to take advantage of every chance I get, to enjoy myself and to learn as much as possible as I find my place in the team."
