'The Times' reports that the 23-year-old, who has just completed a loan spell with AC Milan, is set to re-join former side Barcelona.
Despite still having a year left on his contract with Everton, the winger looks set to return to his homeland after Barcelona signalled their intention to activation the €12 million buy-back clause that they inserted in the player's contract when he joined 'the toffees' permanently in 2015.
It is not yet clear whether Barcelona are re-signing the wing wizard with a view to including him in their squad for the coming season or whether he will be sold on once again. But it is believed that new boss Ernesto Valverde will cast his eye over the player in pre-season before making any hard and fast decisions.
Luis Enrique did similarly in the summer of 2015 before deciding that Deulofeu should be allowed to join Everton permanently.
