Barca have been linked with moves for Palmeiras defender Yerry Mina and Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho in recent weeks and the Spainish international believes that the duo would be good signings for the Catalan side.
"They would be two important additions. They should be high-level players that can continue to develop in an environment such as this one, one in which there is no room for draws or losses. They would be two great signings, in theory," Iniesta explained.
Javier Mascherano on the other hand, has been linked with a January exit, but the Barca captain is hoping that his team-mate will stay put. "We haven't resigned ourselves to losing him, nor are we certain he will stay. It is not official and I haven't heard him say that he's leaving. I would like to see him stay here because he's an important player but we'll see what happens," he said.
Naturally, Iniesta was also quizzed about the possibility of former team-mate Neymar joining Real Madrid in the future, something that Iniesta would like to avoid. "I'm not overly fussed but yes, maybe it would bother me because he's a match-winner and if he joined a rival he would be making them better. Anything can happen in football, we've seen impossible things occur," he admitted.
Iniesta gave his thoughts on the Champions League draw, which will see Barca take on old foes Chelsea. "It brings us good memories, two of my best memories on a personal level (came against Chelsea). That aside, we'll do out best to advance in the competition."
Finally, despite the huge rivalry between team-mate Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Iniesta believes that the Portuguese was deserving of his latest Ballon d'Or. "It doesn't seem unfair to me at all that a player like Cristiano Ronaldo has five Ballon d'Ors. Everyone is free to have their own tastes, but when you win a Ballon d'Or it's always fair."
