Italian publication 'Calciomercato' reports that the German international was offered to the Serie A side recently but that the club's boss Luciano Spalletti rejected the chance to sign the player.
With his contract at the Emirates set to run out next summer, Ozil is thought to be trying to use his contract status as a way of obtaining a mega-money contract at his next club, with Inter unwilling and unable to pay the player what he wants.
Whilst Spalletti is on the lookout for an attacking midfielder, it seems that he will have to look elsewhere, with a move for Ozil simply not feasible.
Reports also claim that Ozil has been offered to other top Italian sides, all of whom have given the same response as Inter, leaving the German facing an uncertain future with it not looking like he will be signing a contract extension in the English capital any time soon.
Ozil has dropped out of the Arsenal first team this season, featuring largely as a substitute and has faced criticism for a perceived lack of effort in some games.
