Ernesto Valverde's teamsheet this season has quite literally been Lionel Messi and ten other players, with the Argentine having been ever-present for the Catalans.
Regardless of competition, be it La Liga or the Champions League, the 30-year-old has played 90 minutes of every single Barca game so far this season.
That means that Messi has played 720 minutes of La Liga action, 270 minutes in the Champions League and both legs of the Spanish Super Cup (180 minutes), taking his grand total for the season to some 1,170 minutes (19.5 hours).
Despite his lack of rest, Messi has shown no signs of slowing down, having managed to score 15 goals in all competitions so far this campaign (11 in La Liga, three in the Champions League and one more in the Super Cup), seriously impressive figures.
Messi has never played so many games back-to-back at the beginning of a season without a rest, suggesting that, at the age of 30, Messi may be in the best form of his life.
