Here are the groups for the 2018 World Cup in Russia!
Group A: Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay
In Group A, Saudi Arabia will become the first Asian team to play in the opening game of a World Cup when they face hosts Russia. Uruguay will be the favourites but it’s never easy to beat the host side.
Group B: Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran
Group B sees the current European champions up against the team who won the tournament the previous two times. Morocco and Iran complete the group, but you’d expect it to be between Spain and Portugal
Group C: France, Australia, Peru, Denmark
Les Bleus will be strong favourites to win this group, while the other three teams, who all qualified through the play-offs, will be looking to get through to the knockout stages.
Group D: Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria
It is unlikely to be easy for Lionel Messi’s side to advance, but they’ll be favourites. Croatia are always dangerous and you can’t rule out Nigeria and debutants Iceland, who performed heroics in the Euro 2016.
Group E: Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia
Brazil will expect to qualify from this group unscathed, but Switzerland have plenty of tournament experience and Costa Rica were one of the surprise sides in the last World Cup in Brazil.
Group F: Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea
The current World Cup holders come up against Mexico, who are the team to have competed in the World Cup the most times without winning it. Sweden, who eliminated Italy in the qualifiers, will also pose a tough test.
Group G: Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, England
Belgium and England will be the two clear favourites for this group and they face off in the final game of the group, while Panama make their first appearance at a World Cup.
Group H: Poland, Senegal, Colombia, Japan
Colombia will be hoping to repeat their heroics of 2014 while Poland will also expect to advance, but Japan and Senegal could be surprise contenders in Group H
