"Today he isn't thinking about that and responding to this would be adding fuel to the fire," the Brazilian star's father started.
"Journalists keep printing stories and because of this it leaves things up in the air. I can't talk about negotiations which may be five or six years away," he continued.
Neymar is happy at his club and, for the moment, his long term career path isn't something he's focusing on. "He has a long contract with PSG which he has just started. We're three months in and they're talking about him leaving. It's difficult to respond to these sort of things," he said.
What the PSG forward's father made clear is that, whatever happens, Neymar will play the rest of his career in Europe. "Neymar is not thinking of leaving Europe for the next eight years. Our job is to keep Neymar in the best place possible, and his dream was to come to Europe."
So it looks like Neymar's return to his native Brazil will have to wait... will the Santiago Bernabeu be his future home? Only time will tell.
