He's only just touched down in Paris, and already rumours are circulating about Neymar's departure with one name arising over and over again - Real Madrid.
As we all know, word spreads fast, and Neymar's PSG teammates are clearly up-to-date on the saga. In an interview with 'Canal+', Thiago Silva gave his opinion.
"His move to Real? I don't know. I can't speak for him. We know that sometimes the press releases stories that aren't true. But also some that are. I can't say anything on the matter," the Brazilian defender stated.
"I only hope that he'll stay with us. He's still got a lot of things to achieve here and he has already helped us enormously. Thanks to him, and the work we've all done, we're even better known," Silva added.
Neymar may one day don the famous white shirt of Real. But, next wednesday, along with his teammates, he'll be trying his hardest to infiltrate Zidane's Madrid set-up in the last-16 of the Champions League. Thiago Silva insists it's an encounter that's not to be missed: "I think it'll be a very high quality game. We'll have to be switched-on."
He went on to say: "We'll have to play our game, try to dominate play and concentrate when we don't have the ball."
Going into the clash, PSG are favourites, but Thiago Silva has insisted that it remains an unpredictable match. Especially given Real's ability to step-up in important fixtures: "People think that PSG are already in the quarter finals because Real are going through a bad spell. It doesn't work like that. Great players shine in big games and it's certain Real's will give it their all in this encounter. And so will we."
