Speaking to 'TalkSport' about the match, Wilkins said: "I don't think it's tricky but I don't think it's anything that should really stand in the way is it? You know, where would Sevilla be in the Premier League? Bottom six? Probably?"
Wilkins' words will no doubt cause consternation amongst some. Sevilla twice drew with Liverpool in the Champions League group stages and are through to the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.
In addition, two years ago they won the Europa League - beating Liverpool in the final convincingly - the same competition that enabled Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League this year.
